Project Managers

Lauren E. Bauer, Project Manager

Lauren Bauer is responsible for managing commercial properties for Elm Street. Prior to joining Elm Street in 2007, she worked for a national trade association comprised of real estate developers, owners, and managers. Bauer holds an MBA from the University of Virginia, and a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Brian M. Barnes, Project Manager

Brian Barnes is responsible for managing projects in Prince William, Stafford and Culpeper County in Virginia. Brian joined Elm Street Development in 2005. Prior to Elm Street Development, Barnes worked as a Project Manager for Sigma Builders Inc, managing land development and building projects in Loudoun and Stafford County. He is a graduate of Old Dominion University.

Mike S. Bingley, Project Manager

Mike Bingley is the manager for several developments in Montgomery County, Maryland. Bingley joined Elm Street Development in 1993 following twelve years with Curtis F. Peterson Companies where he was Vice President in charge of land development in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area.

S. Eugene Bollinger Jr., Project Manager

Gene Bollinger currently is responsible for managing development projects in Frederick and Montgomery Counties. Prior to joining Elm Street Development in 2004, Gene operated his own fruit and vegetable farm for 30 years. He also operated and managed the Cider Barrel Mobile Home Park for 8 years.

Michael Charlton, Project Manager

Michael Charlton manages projects in Howard, Harford and Cecil Counties, Maryland. He joined Elm Street Development in 2006 after receiving an MBA from the University of North Carolina. He graduated from Georgia Tech with a BS in Chemical Engineering and spent four years working for Imperial Chemical Industries as a process engineer and business analyst.

James P. DiMeglio, Project Manager

Jim DiMeglio is responsible for managing development projects in Frederick, MD. He joined Elm Street Development in 2004 after spending more than twenty years as a principal with a utility and site development contracting firm working in the Washington DC metropolitan area. Jim has served as president and board member of the Public Works Contractor’s Association, chapter representative of the National Utility Contractors Association. A graduate of American University, he earned a BA in International Studies, Magna Cum Laude and holds a Master of Science in Architecture (Construction Management) from Virginia Tech.

Stephen M. Horne, Project Manager

Steve Horne joined Elm Street Development in 2005 after receiving an MBA degree from the University of North Carolina. Horne is responsible for managing development projects in Anne Arundel, Caroline, and Dorchester Counties, Maryland. Horne also has a BS degree in Management Science and Information Technology from Virginia Tech.

Christopher P. Hunter, Project Manager

Chris Hunter is responsible for managing apartment development projects in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Prior to joining Elm Street Development in 2007, he worked in investment banking and management consulting. Hunter holds an MBA from the Darden Business School at the University of Virginia. He also graduated with a BA in Economics from the University of Virginia.

James R. Krapf, Project Manager

James Krapf is responsible for managing development projects in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Krapf joined Elm Street Development in 2005 with an MBA from Loyola College in Maryland. Previously, James worked in both the Residential Home Building and Financial Services industries. He received a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Loyola College in Maryland.

Kathryn L. Kubit, Project Manager

Kate Kubit manages development projects in Montgomery County, Maryland. Prior to joining Elm Street Development in 2006, she worked as a management consultant. Kubit possesses an MBA from the University of North Carolina and BBA in accounting and human resources from the University of Wisconsin.

Andrew P. McKenna, Project Manager

Andrew McKenna is responsible for managing development projects in Anne Arundel and Charles Counties. Prior to coming to Elm Street Development in 2004, Andrew spent eight years as the production manager of a construction company specializing in commercial stone work. Andrew graduated from Loyola College in Maryland with a BA in History.

Donald L. Sears, Project Manager

Don Sears currently manages development projects in Charles County, Maryland. Prior to joining Elm Street Development in 2005, Sears worked over 30 years with a general contractor as chief estimator and project manager in charge of site development and design build project in Maryland.

Stefanie Z. Smith, Project Manager

Stefanie Smith is responsible for development projects in Arlington and Fairfax Counties in Virginia and the District of Columbia. Stefanie joined Elm Street Development in 2005 after obtaining her MBA in Real Estate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Smith has a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.

Robert N. Thompson, Project Manager

Robbie Thompson has managed several developments in Montgomery, Howard, Baltimore and Carroll Counties. Thompson is currently managing Clarksburg Village in Montgomery County. Thompson received the Pros Club award for Land Development Superintendent 300+ units in 2005. Thompson joined Elm Street Development in 2000 following 14 years with Reliable Contracting of Millersville, Maryland.

Jason S. Van Kirk, Project Manager

Jason Van Kirk currently manages development projects in Howard and Baltimore Counties, Maryland and York County, Pennsylvania. He joined Elm Street Development in 2005 after receiving an MBA from the University of North Carolina. He graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Finance.

Stephen L. Woodhurst, Project Manager

Steve Woodhurst currently manages development projects in Talbot County, Maryland. Prior to joining Elm Street Development in 2006, he spent 28+ years as a Construction Inspector/Construction Manager for a variety of infrastructure projects with specialization in water and wastewater projects. Woodhurst is O.S.H.A. certified in excavation & trenching, and confined space operations; and is registered with the American Construction Inspectors Association.
